  • Raylene Whitford is a Cree-Métis finance professional with a well-established career in the international energy industry and is committed to working with companies and governments to create sustainable opportunities for Indigenous Peoples around the world.

Our BREAKFAST speakers

  • Co-founder and Executive VP at Eavor Technologies. She's a professional geologist with over two decades of experience, leading worldwide policy initiatives and energy advocacy efforts. Apart from her professional life, Jeanine is an active community volunteer and serves on several nonprofit boards. She holds an Honours B.Sc. degree in Geology and Environmental Studies and a Business Essentials Certificate.

    Forrest Battjes

    Forrest Battjes is a Forestry Educator with Work Wild, a program that specializes in education around the amazing careers in Alberta’s Forests. Forrest is a certified teacher with a background in Environmental Studies. He loves to hike fish and camp throughout the province and is passionate about wild jobs in Alberta.

    Steve Schultz

    Steve Schultz is a teacher at Lacombe Composite High School since 1997. He teaches science, chemistry, forensics, electronics, and agriculture. He coaches soccer and facilitates a robotics club. He advises EcoVision, an environmental club, and founded United Robotics Lacombe. He has won the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2019 and the Ag for Life Agriculture Teacher Award.

Shannon holds a degree in Global Development and Environmental Studies. She enjoys learning about local cultures and customs and has visited 15 countries so far.

    Evan Bahry is the Executive Director of Energy Connections Canada and has spent most of his career advancing Canadian energy infrastructure. He believes that responsible energy development benefits end-use consumers. Prior to joining ECC, he was the Executive Director of the Independent Power Producers Society of Alberta. Mr. Bahry has an MBA and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary.

Ron currently serves on the Governing Bodies of the Global Energy Show and the Canadian Convention on Emergency Preparedness and Climate Mitigation. He is also the Chair of the Board for the National Access Arts Centre.

She is also an active volunteer and serves as Co-Chair for the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra's Young Leadership Council.

Every year, we will add additional industry and actionable eco-topics to supplement the above speaker groups to help students learn more about their connection with our environment and inspire them to take action on climate.
