Welcome to 10PIX!

A student conference, a free day-long exchange for students to help them understand the vital role they can play in Alberta's and Canada's future.

We are bringing together industry experts, academia, innovators, indigenous leaders, entrepreneurs, students, and teachers together at Red Deer Polytechnic and under one dynamic virtual platform to learn, engage and inspire each other for the future of our province.

10PIX is a free, one-day, in person and virtual conference taking place on October 17, 2024 with 18 speakers, 12 workshops and all day RDP tours!

Registration opens May 1 and is available for students in grades 7 – 12 and their teachers.

You will be able to participate in a full day's activities in either an in-person or virtual attendance.

In-person: Teachers need to pre-register their students for the keynote and breakout sessions, workshops and tours you want your students to attend.

Ten Peaks can sponsor your in-person attendance. Learn more below!

Virtual: Virtual attendees can choose any session and pop in and out of a session to meet your schedule.

Simply fill out the appropriate form below using your school email address and you’re all set.

Following your registration, you will immediately receive a confirmation email from 10peaks.ca. Please confirm your subscription. Within 10 minutes you will receive a “Need to Know” email. You will then be vetted by Ten Peaks to confirm you are eligible to participate (student or teacher). Attendance process and sponsorship

Joining us in-person at Red Deer Polytechnic this year for the 10PIX conference? Ten Peaks offer sponsorship options for in-person attendance up to $500 per school. The Ten Peaks sponsorship aims to help you with transportation and substitute teacher costs.

We strongly encourage teachers to apply for in person attendance by June 15 and reserve your students’ attendance. When you apply for in-person attendance you can apply for sponsorship.

  • We will assign initial transportation sponsorship by June 24 for applications received as of June 15 and inform you by email by June 24 of the subsidy awarded to you.

  • In the award email will be a link to the session registration form and you can choose which 30 minute sessions, workshops or 45 minute tours you want your students to attend.

  • Every student is guaranteed to attend one hands-on workshop or walking RDP tour. Each workshop has 25 students max capacity but tours can accommodate up to 75 students.

  • Sessions have a max capacity of 100. Session assignments will be confirmed no later than October 1.

  • Applications received between June 16 and September 30 will also be reviewed and any available transportation sponsorship awarded no later than October 5. Applications received after June 24 are added to a waiting list. You will then be sent the link to choose which sessions your students are attending at that time.

Why the review process? The earlier you register, the more time we have to help coordinate and allocate these sponsorship dollars. We want full bus loads! As part of our continued effort to reduce our environmental footprint, we want to encourage schools to "bus-pool" and ensure we are running full loads of students to Red Deer Polytechnic.

Media consent forms

Once you are approved for in-person attendance, you must complete the media consent form. There is one for adults and another for students. 10PIX is recorded to share with other students. Ten Peaks must have your parent’s permission to record pictures and video of you. Please download this Media Consent form and have your parent/guardian sign it. Please return the signed form to registration@10peaks.ca. If you do not return the Media Consent form you may have to participate in alternative 10PIX activities to avoid appearing in any recordings.
